Monte Carlo, Monaco

Our first stop after leaving Italy was Monte Carlo, Monaco.  I had mixed feelings about Monaco at the time.  It is definitely a beautiful country but there just wasn't much to do there.  We actually only spent two hours there and I feel like that was enough time to see everything.  I would like to go back and see how I feel now that I am older.

We just went on a walking tour with a local guide.  We saw the ports, Saint Nicholas Cathedral where Grace Kelly got married, the Prince's Palace, and the Grand Prix track.  We also got to see the local school and let me just say, I wish our schools were that nice!

Above is a picture of the school in Monaco.

This is where Grace Kelly got Married.

  2. Monaco does seem like a beautiful place, but somewhere inside me there's this cliché that you need to be super rich in order to enjoy it properly - aka own a yacht, go shopping in luxury boutiques and have fancy lunch! ;) It's probably not an accurate conception, but I would love to see Monaco myself one day and test it out! :)

  3. Really beautiful pictures - especially of the marinas and sailboats. We visited there once, but it doesn't look like we saw as much as you did. Oh how I would love to be sailing out there off the coast of Monaco just now!

  4. I was planning a trip to Monaco just for F1 but when I spilled the beans to my bf (HUGE car fanatic), he said we should just go see Europe. I was suprised (and a bit disappointed) he didn't care to experience the race. That's really the only reason I was going to Monaco. Now its just a stop on our Europe vacay. Great photos though, it looks beautiful.

  5. I bet you would have a different experience now that you're older - many of the places I went as a teen seemed so different when I went back in my 20's. This is one place I'd love to see!
