Rawhide, Arizona 2008

During my first trip to Arizona in 2008, Alex's family took me and Kristin to an old west town called Rawhide.  I loved this place and would love to go back.

We walked around for a little while just to see what there was and get a feel for the place.  We went into some of the stores which were all western themed.

Then, we decided to do a Stagecoach ride.  Best decision ever!
The ride was about 20 minutes long and we went right around sunset which made for some pretty great photos and some awesome views.

After that, we got sent to jail - our parents always said it would happen.  The jailer made us do some pretty ridiculous things in order to get out of jail.

After they released us from jail we headed to dinner at the restaurant on the property before heading back home.

The restaurant, Rawhide Steakhouse, was really good and I highly recommend eating there if you are ever at Rawhide.  They had a live band, great food and a great atmosphere.  Also, they have a wall of photos of famous people who have eaten there including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Josh Turner, Aaron Tippin, and Charlie Daniels.

If you are ever in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend a stop in at rawhide.  It was such a great little town and so much fun!

Arizona 2009

My second trip to Arizona in 2009 was very chill.  Both of us were poor so we did a lot of just hanging out but we did a few fun things too.

We went to this aquarium restaurant, Tiburon in Litchfield Park, Arizona.  It was definitely experience to eat with the fishes.  There was also a small aquarium attached to the restaurant.

We also went to a club in Phoenix and to a hookah bar with Alex's Friends. The Hookah thing really wasn't my scene but the club was free and none of us had to pay for a single drink which was great.

We spent one day on a lazy river.  I can't remember where it was or what it was called but it was definitely the most fun thing we did.  We hung out with friends, chilled and had some beers; it doesn't get much better than that!

Arizona 2008

In 2007, my best friends Dad got a job in Arizona and decided to accept it, so naturally I had to go visit!!  They moved right before the start of the school year (my first year of college) so I scheduled a trip for the end of spring semester in June of 2008.  Also, my friend Kristin joined!

We had a short flight from Baltimore to Newark then to Phoenix!

We arrived in AZ and were immediately taken to get some amazing food at a place called Oregano's in Phoenix.  Amazing!! They had this cookie ice cream dessert that was to die for, plus it is a restaurant that is almost 100% outdoors!

I didn't keep a journal for this trip but here are some highlights and things I do remember:

Hanging Out By The Pool

Going Shopping At The Mall Where Jordan Sparks Worked
(and getting really annoyed at constantly hearing her songs on the radio)

Modeling Our New Clothes - Duh

Going to A Place Called Castles and Coasters
(Roller Coasters and Mini Golf/Go Karts ... Weirdest thing ever)

Going to an Old West Town, Rawhide
(this will have its own post)

Westgate and Margaritaville

Hammerhead Jacks

The Beautiful Desert
