I grew up in the suburbs (blah) but spent a lot of time with my Granny up in PA in the middle of nowhere. I always knew I wanted to live in the country. June 1, 2011, Josh and I moved to the country and unfortunately, on June 1, 2014 we had to move back to the suburbs. I loved it there though and we are hoping that when the time comes for us to buy a house, we can move back to where we were. Sometimes the drive to civilization could be a pain and I really had to watch my gas tank but other than that I loved living there.

Blizzard 2014
This is what my yard looked like yesterday ... I'm over all this snow!
And lets talk about last night. I got a call from work seeing if I could work 5-10 and since I called out of my AM shift because the roads were bad, I agreed to come in. Well about halfway through the shift it starts snowing again. So, my boss calls and says one of the overnight people called out - I agreed to work it because the roads were getting bad and I wouldn't have made it home anyway. Yay overtime? Well by time 6am rolls around I've been up for 25 hours - I almost crashed into a guardrail on my way home and it was the longest hour drive of my life! Then I come home to find that a snowplow dumped their shit right in front of my driveway. So Josh and I started our valentines day moody and fighting while shoveling the driveway. *End I-hate-snow Rant*
On a happier note, I hope everyone has a great valentines day!

Hershey Park and Jason Aldean
On Saturday, Josh, Amy and I went to Hershey Park (in Pennsylvania) to ride some rides and see my man, Jason Aldean. I was hoping to have some awesome pictures to share today, but being the bad blogger that I am, I totally forgot my camera for the concert (left it right by the damn door). However, I think this worked out well because I was paying attention to the concert and the music more than taking pictures. We did each snap one or two horrible ones on our phones.
Hershey Park was Ok. The lines were super long due to it being a weekend, plus the concert crowd. We got on a few rides, went to the little zoo and ate some dinner before heading next door to HP Stadium. The opener was Thomas Rhett, who I actually ended up really liking. Then Jake Owen, who I have seen more times than I can count because he always seems to be the opener at shows I go to. Of course, Jason Aldean was awesome and I definitely want to see him in concert again!

See, told you they were crappy pictures. Also, because I didn't know about this concert til a little too late, these were the best seats I could find ... they were horrible, but we still had a great time! The concert was a blast and I can't wait to go to another one of his concerts!

You Know You Live in the Middle of Nowhere When...
You know you live in the middle of nowhere when...
You have to go to your Mom's house to get trick-or-treaters
Forgetting something at the grocery store is a huge inconvenience and not worth the trip back out to go get the forgotten item.
Pizza is not delivered to your house because it is too far
You have to take your trash to the dump because they don't pick up at your house
The tractor pulls at the farm fair are the highlight of the summer
Road Signs like this are not uncommon, and you know you can actually go 20 on the turn
The dogs are dogs. They stay outside, they swim in the pond, if they get out of the fence, they find their way back, they kill any wild thing that comes into the yard and they are well behaved, but don't try to come into the yard if they don't know you.

Your next door neighbor is a farmer, and on the other side is more of his farm and his farm stand
You can play your extremely loud stereo system as loud as you want for as late as you want and no one hears it
You know that single stoplight towns are real
This is what your drive to pretty much everything looks like ... and you can stop in the road to take pics without worrying about someone behind you
This is considered a main road
and last when you have to get out of your car open the gate, drive through, then close it, to get out of your driveway. (and so the dogs don't get out)
