Wedding Wednesday: Bridesmaids

Today I am going to introduce y'all to the girls in my wedding party.  I love these girls and can't wait to share this day with them!  Get ready for an extremely picture heavy post!

Maid of Honor: Amy (my sister)

The advantage to having a sister?  You have a built in MOH!  Seriously though, my sister and I fought like no other when we were younger.  If you had asked me 10 years ago if she would be my MOH I would have said Hell No, she's lucky if she is invited.  People always said that we would get closer as we got older, and we laughed at them.   But, as usual, we were wrong and grew much closer once I moved out of the house to JMU.   I couldn't imagine having anyone else as my Maid of Honor.

Bridesmaid: Alex 

Alex and I have literally been best friends our whole lives.  Having her in my wedding wasn't even a question.  I can't even remember a time when this girl wasn't in my life and all of my funniest memories involve her!  We have way to many jokes to even count and people often give us funny looks when we're together.  Our friendship has even survived a cross country move (her fam moved to AZ in 2007).

Bridesmaids: Kristin, Vicky and Heather

I met these girls in 8th/9th grade and we have all been best friends ever since (I can't believe its been 10 years!).   We did everything together in High School even after Heather ditched us for Harford Tech.   I could not imagine my life without these girls in it!  We have been through a lot together and I would not be who I am without these girls.

Bridesmaid: Laurie

Laurie is another friend who has been in my life for forever.  We were friends in elementary school but she moved to DE with her Dad after her Mom died then we lost touch.  A few years later I saw her step-dad, Bob and got her address and wrote her a letter, and we never lost touch again.

I love my friends <3

Travel Tuesday: The Coliseum

Our second day in Rome was heavy with sightseeing!  We ate breakfast at the hotel; crissonts and toast (we thought the crissonts were super cute but by the end of the trip we never wanted to see one again).

Our first stop was the Coliseum.   It was so surreal seeing the coliseum in person!  It is so much bigger than it looks in pictures!

I am pretty sure I took a million and one pictures!

Because we were with People to People, we didn't have to wait in line.  We met up with our guide and went inside immediately at our scheduled time, which was nice.

I loved visiting the Coliseum, it was one of my favorite parts of our trip.

*Sidenote*  I hate all of the pictures of myself from this trip because I am at my heaviest weight ever.  I debated for a long time about whether or not I was going to post them on here but decided to suck it up and do it.

Next up is the scavenger hunt, during which we saw the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain.

Monday and Changes

Mondays are the worst blogging days for me because I don't ever know what to talk about!  Unfortunately, my weekends involve 12 hour work shifts, so there is nothing for me to share unless y'all want to hear about the wonderful world of Applebee's (trust me, you don't). 

Anyway, this blog has been going through some changes lately.  I am trying to make it prettier and more user friendly.  I am not done yet because I keep learning more every day, so this blog will probably be under construction for the next few weeks.   

So, keep checking back for more changes :)

First Five on Friday Link-Up :)

1.  My Mothers Dog is the devil.   My arms look like this as well.

2. My summer class ended yesterday!  I took my final yesterday morning and I already miss it :(  I am that nerd who loves school and I wish it wasn't another month before fall semester (aka my last semester).

3.  I am soooo excited for next Saturday!  Josh, my Sister and I are going to Hershey Park and the Jason Aldean concert!  Next to Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean is my favorite!

4.  Wedding planning is starting to stress me out and I have thought multiple times about just going to the court house.  Same results, less money and less stress.  I have been told I would regret it later but I am not sure I would.  

5. The Travel bug has been biting really hard lately.  Due to issues with school, I can't go to Chicago like I was planning and I am really bummed about it.  I just want to get on a plane, Damnit!

First Giveaway!!

Hey girls, it has been a super busy week already!  I have been watching my Mom's dog for the week and finishing up my last week of Summer classes, along with work!  I did get awesome news today, I don't have to take my final exam (I am going to anyways because I am paranoid) and I have the highest grade in my class :)  Week = Made!!!  

After this week, my blog will go back to normal, but until then I am participating in my first giveaway!!!

I think this is a story everyone knows, whether through the movie or the book.  What an incredible story! The Writing was amazing and the story never got boring, I was interested the whole time.  Jake's speech at the very end, alone, makes the book worth reading.  I don't know what else to say other than that everyone should be required to read this book (I think it is especially appropriate now with all the stuff with the Trayvon Martin case) and it should be part of school curriculum, though I know it never will be.  Also, the movie is one which is incredibly close to the book!  I was impressed and I am super picky and critical!  So, even if you are not a reader, you should still watch the movie!
